concrete precision rainy weather

During monsoon season we need to keep below points in mind while concreting

1. Slump should be no more than 120. If pipeline is long , at pump slump can be 150 max
2. If it’s raining , avoid casting as at batching plant it becomes very difficult to get idea of moisture in raw material and change water correction in recipe .
3. Cube casting should be under shade area where water does not fall continuously
4. If there are multiple grades in slab , please make sure marking on cubes don’t get interchanged . For this please designate separate area for different grade of cube casting .
5. On site when cubes are kept , please see if someone do not put foot on cubes and cubes are secured in a safe place where there is no damage to cubes as these are samples who represent quality of concrete .
6. During monsoon , we observe that due to continuous moisture in air , cubes are moist and even in 7 days contains moisture if proper heat or temperature is not met . In these cases , we recommend to do 7 days , 14 days , 21 days and 28 days cube testing . Get extra cubes filled .
7. If 7 day strength is critical , please contact us so we will Suggest a revision in recipe According to your need . Or you can choose One higher grade of concrete for monsoon season .
8. Cover your structure immediately after casting . But also make sure structure gets appropriate air flow .
9. Check structure next day after 24 hours to make sure structure is looking good .
10. If due rain or distorted water proportion , concrete gets segregated then don’t use that concrete for structure Or any other questions we are just comment below.
